An extensive two-month voyage circling the Land Down Under is being halted in the wake of the death of an older female passenger who was left behind by the ship on a isolated tropical isle.

The passenger had been hiking on the remote island with other travelers from the vessel, but parted ways from the party for a pause. The vessel departed without her and went back several hours later after the personnel realised the passenger was missing.

A major hunt located her remains the next day.

The CEO of the shipping company announced that travelers and staff on the vessel were told that the continuation of the journey had been terminated due to the "tragic passing and prior technical problems".

Via official communication, he mentioned that travelers would be given a full refund, and said the company was working "to arrange the travel back of the individuals via private aircraft".
